Here at Top of the Rockies we like to provide the best zip lining experience we can and want to make sure you know what to expect before joining us on a zip line adventure.
Know Before You Go
WHAT TO WEAR
Long pants are recommended, closed toed shoes like hiking boots or sneakers are best. Bring sunglasses. You can carry a small backpack to keep your personal items in. In the winter, it will be cold and snowy. Wear layers with a warm jacket and a hat as well as snow boots to stay comfortable.
LIABILITY WAIVERS
All guests will be required to sign a standard Liability Waiver upon check-in.
DIRECTIONS
The Zip Line Base is at 6492 Highway 91, Leadville, Co. 80461. The Historic Train Depot is located at 326 E. 7th Street, Leadville, Colorado 80461. It’s only 12 minutes from the Zip Line Base to the Train Station and vice versa.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for all tours.
COMBO TOUR INFORMATION
Zip line / train ride combo tours start with the zip line at 9:00am and the train ride will begin at 2pm. *Note, it is best to get to both tours 30 minutes early to allow time for check-in.
Our Zip Lines & Safety
ZIP LINE SAFETY
- All 6 of our zip lines have double overhead cables for extra safety so that you are attached to two cables at once
- We use up-to-date regulation harnesses to ensure you are securely strapped in and comfortable
- Our zip lines use automatic braking systems to ensure you have a comfortable experience
- Our Zip Line is registered with the State of Colorado and inspected yearly according to the highest standards.
- At least two guides will accompany all tours.
ZIP LINE ACCESSIBILITY
- Easy to access take-off and landing decks are flat on the side of the mountain; you don’t have to climb ladders up into trees or wooden towers.
- Zip line sections are connected by scenic downhill trails through the forest, so it’s easy walking.
WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
- Minimum weight is 60 pounds
- Maximum weight is 260 pounds
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Minimum age: 6 years old.
PREGNANT WOMEN
Pregnant women are not allowed to zip line
ALCOHOL POLICY
No alcohol is allowed on the tour and you are not to be intoxicated during your zip line ride.

GRATUITY
A 20% gratuity applies for groups of 6+ for all tours.
