Adventure is a Zip Line Away!

No matter the season, we’ve got it covered. Come on up to the high country and share our beautiful world. Top of the Rockies offers winter and summer zip line rides as well as snowmobile combo tours with our sister company, White Mountain Snowmobile Tours. Our zip lines are inspected yearly and are registered with the State of Colorado. We opened in 2012 and have a 100% record of safety. Double Overhead Cables on every zip plus an automatic braking system will assure a fun and stress-free experience, no matter how young or old the participants are.

Timeline

The initial zip line course, consisting of the first 5 lines, was completed in 2012! The tower was later added to the course to complete the current experience of 6 total lines!

One of our favorite experiences at guest check-in is how often we have repeat customers coming to visit us again. It is a true privilege to have customers who have come back over the course of several years.

WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE DO YOUR GUIDES BRING TO THE TOURS?

Our team participates in routine training throughout the season, ensuring skills and procedures are current and routine. Many of our team members have been involved in the guiding industry for numerous years, and throughout their lengthy experience have additional certifications. They are well-versed in the local history and local offerings! A shared value is our love for the outdoors and sharing those experiences with our guests.

HOW LONG HAS TOP OF THE ROCKIES ZIP LINE BEEN IN OPERATION?

The initial portion of the zip line was completed in 2012. Our sister company joined the community in 1991. As we approach 15 years, we are more excited than ever for what the future holds!

Top of the Rockies Zip Line is family-owned! Our sister company has been in the Lake County community since 1991. The zip line course came to life in 2012! Many of our team members have been a part of the journey since the beginning or from the very early years!

WHAT STEPS DO YOU TAKE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF PARTICIPANTS ON YOUR ZIP LINES?

Our zip line course is inspected annually and registered with the state of Colorado. Our team participates in regular training exercises, including CPR/First aid training.

WHAT ARE SOME NEARBY MOUNTAINS AND NATURAL ATTRACTIONS TO VISIT WHILE AT TOP OF THE ROCKIES ZIP LINE?

We highly recommend checking out local information here. Our zip line course is just one left-hand turn and less than 10 minutes away from Leadville’s Main Street.

HOW CLOSE IS TOP OF THE ROCKIES ZIP LINE TO MT. ELBERT AND MT. MASSIVE?

The zip line course offers views of both Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive from various points of the tour! The trail heads are less than 30 minutes away, just on the other side of town.

WHAT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE NEAR TOP OF THE ROCKIES ZIP LINE?
