Yes! All guests will be required to sign a standard Liability Waiver upon check-in.

The Zip Line Base is at 6492 Highway 91, Leadville, Co. 80461. The Historic Train Depot is located at 326 E. 7th Street, Leadville, Colorado 80461. It’s only 12 minutes from the Zip Line Base to the Train Station and vice versa.

Zip line/train ride combo tours start with the zip line at 9:00 am, and the train ride will begin at 2:00 pm. *Note, it is best to get to both tours 30 minutes early to allow time for check-in.

The time frame for the winter snowmobile and zip line combo is 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm. For this combo tour, you will pick two tour times (e.g., zip line at 9 am and snowmobile at 12 pm).

• All 6 of our zip lines have double overhead cables for extra safety so that you are attached to two cables at once
• We use up-to-date regulation harnesses to ensure you are securely strapped in and comfortable
• Our zip lines use automatic braking systems to ensure you have a comfortable experience
• Our Zip Line is registered with the State of Colorado and inspected yearly according to the highest standards.
• At least two guides will accompany all tours.

Easy to access take-off and landing decks are flat on the side of the mountain; you don’t have to climb ladders up into trees or wooden towers. There is one tower on the course, but guests are only required to walk down it.

Zip line sections are connected by scenic downhill trails through the forest, so it’s easy walking.

Minimum weight is 60 pounds, and the maximum weight is 260 pounds.

There are no age restrictions on the zip line, only weight guidelines with a minimum weight of 60 pounds and a maximum weight of 260 pounds. The minimum age for snowmobiling on the Prospector Tour is 6 years old.

Guide gratuities are appropriate and appreciated. For a group of 6 or more, a 15% auto gratuity will be charged at the time of check-in.

Yes! During the summer months, the Top of the Rockies zip line soars over the Leadville Railroad train tracks, allowing you to zip line over a moving train. It is a one-of-a-kind experience. Top of the Rockies also offers The Rails & Zip Line Combo Tour that lets you experience the zip line and ride the train.

If you have a medical condition, recent injury, mobility limitation, or other health concern that could affect your ability to safely participate, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider and contacting our team before booking. Guests should also be comfortable walking downhill between zipline sections and descending stairs.

We recommend booking your Colorado zipline tour as early as possible, especially if you’re visiting during peak season, planning a weekend adventure, or traveling with a group. Popular tour times can fill quickly, and booking early gives you the best selection of available departure times. Top of the Rockies Zip Line offers tours year-round, with standard departures at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM.

Yes! Top of the Rockies Zip Line features side-by-side lines that let you zip alongside a friend or family member. Four sections of the course have twin lines, and the final “Big Nugget” features three side-by-side zip lines, so you can experience the views and adrenaline together.

Yes! Top of the Rockies Zip Line offers gift cards that make a great experience gift for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other special occasions. Give someone the chance to soar through the Colorado Rockies on six high-altitude zip lines with incredible mountain views. Gift cards can be purchased online and used toward a Top of the Rockies Zip Line adventure.

The Rocky Mountain Zip Line Tour takes approximately two hours and includes six zipline sections with more than 8,000 feet of lines. Guests should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled tour time for check-in, so plan on about 2.5 hours total from arrival to finish. Tours depart at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM.

Top of the Rockies Zip Line tours generally run rain or shine, so a little wet weather doesn’t necessarily mean your adventure is canceled. Tours are only canceled for extreme weather conditions. Colorado mountain weather can change quickly, so come prepared with appropriate clothing and contact the Top of the Rockies team if you have questions about conditions on the day of your tour.
